Practical guide to the Belgian coast
Plan transport, parking, beach rules and accessible outings.

Before booking
Choose your transport and exact destination address. Compare the walk from the station or tram stop with your needs: luggage, pushchair, wheelchair or fatigue. For parking, check the zone, maximum stay and conditions for your date.
Arriving at the beach
Read the signs at the entrance you use. Dog access, swimming and activity rules vary by zone and season. A neighbouring entrance may lead to a different area. Swim only in a supervised zone while lifeguards are present, and follow their instructions.
Keep the day flexible
Have a rainy-day option, check your return journey and note contact details for bookings. Prices and opening hours are not uniform along the coast. Each guide points to the responsible organisation rather than presenting one rule for everywhere.
